Man held for sexual assault on minor girl in Bihar

PATNA: A local court on Tuesday remanded a 45-year-old man in judicial custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl at Bahadurpur Housing Colony under the Agamkuan police station area in Patna City.
SHO of Agamkuan police station Abhijeet Kumar said the accused was identified as Shailendra Kumar.
“The incident took place on Monday evening when the minor girl was playing on the terrace of one of the HIG flats. The girl’s mother had filed a written complaint against Shailendra on the basis of which an FIR was registered against the accused under relevant sections of POCSO Act.
