Ex-GM exec Girsky acts as matchmaker in deal with Nikola

Steve Girsky is a former vice chairman of GM, an ex-chairman of Opel and a former interim head of GM Europe. He runs the special-purpose acquisition company that took Nikola public through a reverse merger and has said the startup was thoroughly analyzed before discussions began with GM.
