JAIPUR: Congress MLA Bharat Singh Kundanpur has written to Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot seeking removal of a state minister whom he called 'most corrupt'.
In a letter dated September 14, which was circulated on social media, he demanded the removal of the minister without naming him. He wrote in Hindi: "This minister is a mafia of corruption. I don't want to name the person."
In the letter, the MLA requested, "It is required that the most corrupt minister of the cabinet should be removed so as to send out a message to the people."
The MLA said he wrote the letter in the context of the recent shuffling of district incharge ministers party by the removal of two ministers from the Sachin Pilot camp after the revolt by Pilot and also following complaints by Congress workers.
The MLA had not named the minister but he was alluding to mines and gopalan minister Pramod Jain Bhaya who also hails from Kota division. The MLA who represents Sangod had earlier also targeted Bhaya for corruption.
Bharat Singh, a former minister from the Kota region was overlooked for a ministership as Gehlot preferred Pramod Jain over Bharat Singh.
