MTC conducting car driving classes in Chennai

<p>Female trainers handle classes for women. <o:p></o:p></p>
CHENNAI: Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), government-owned entity which operates buses in Chennai, has now started conducting car driving classes for the public.
Eligible aspirants will be trained at MTC's training school in Chromepet for a period of one month.
Basic lessons including driving on empty grounds, bridges, eight-shaped tracks and reverse mode will be handled at 'driving range' facility in Chromepet. Later they will be trained on how to drive in traffic.
Training would cost around Rs 7,000 per person. This excludes learner's licence (LLR) and driving licence application fees.
Classes will be conducted from 9am to 5pm.
One person gets to drive for a maximum of one hour every day.
Female trainers will handle classes for women.
