Goa University registrar YV Reddy resigns

PANAJI: After serving as Goa University registrar for more than four years, YV Reddy has resigned from the post on 'health grounds'. Radhika Nayak will now act as officiating registrar. His resignation came as a surprise to the higher education community in Goa.
Reddy was popular among college faculty from affiliated institutes and known for his helpful nature during his stint at the helm of affairs at GU.
He was a key member of the university as it helped institutes navigate through the pandemic. Reddy has a vast experience in the field of education, being is a former dean of the faculty of commerce and management studies at GU and having 28 years of teaching experience.
Earlier, Reddy has served as a member of the executive council, university court, planning board, academic council and finance committee of the GU.
He has also published over 70 research papers in national and international journals besides presenting more than 50 papers at global and national seminars.
Reddy has completed three major research projects and published three books, and is also life member of the Indian commerce association and Indian accounting association.
