The road was closed for two hours while emergency services dealt with the incident which caused huge tailbacks on the A55.

Traffic returned to normal
Traffic returned to normal, earlier accident on A55 North Wales Expressway Westbound from J13 Abergwyngregyn Interchange (Abergwyngregyn) to J12 Tal Y Bont Interchange.
Lane one (of two) was closed until around 16:10. Affecting traffic heading towards Parc Menai.
All lanes have opened
All lanes have reopened but there’s still a lot of heavy congestion in the area.

Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on A55 North Wales Expressway Westbound from J13 Abergwyngregyn Interchange (Abergwyngregyn) to J12 Tal Y Bont Interchange. Congestion to Llanfairfechan. Travel time is around 20 minutes.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “W did receive a call but we didn’t dispatch any resources because our services were not needed.”
