Sushant Singh Rajput Case LIVE Updates | The names of Bollywood celebrities Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Simone Khambatta have emerged as Narcotics Control Bureau continues to question actor Rhea Chakraborty, in a drug case, related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The NCB has not divulged details of specific aspects of the probe in which the names of these 3 celebs have come up or the extent of their alleged involvement in the narcotics investigation. As of now, no summons have been issued to them.

Over a dozen persons have been arrested by the NCB so far, including Sushant's ex-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and several drug peddlers, narco-dealers and suppliers. While Rhea, Showik and others have been sent to judicial custody, some of the drug peddlers have been remanded to NCB custody. Today NCB made two more arrests, Suryadeep Malhotra and Chris Costa. With this, 18 people have so far been arrested by the NCB which is probing drug angle in the case of Rajput's death.

AIIMS doctors' report on SSR's death likely on Sunday

The cause of Sushant Singh Rajput's death on June 14 will be revealed by a panel of doctors from Delhi's AIIMS hospital to the CBI next week. The panel is studying the actor's autopsy report amid allegations by his family. "We assure you that the opinion we give will be conclusive, without any confusion or doubts, in the interest of truth and law," sources in the panel told NDTV.

The latest plea, filed by NGO 'In Pursuit of Justice', sought that the court widens the scope of the Contempt of the Court Act to include any obstructions that could hamper the administration of justice from the time an FIR is registered in a case. It also sought that the "media be restrained from publishing or broadcasting" anything related to the case until the plea is decided finally by the high court. "The recent spate of media reporting in the case of the untimely demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and the extent of media frenzy concerning all issues and non-issues involving the incident is quite disturbing," the plea said. "It has given rise to an urgent need of finding an acceptable constitutional balance between free press and administration of justice," it said.

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the Union government over a petition filed by an NGO seeking that the media be restrained from reporting on issues related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and subsequent probe into the case. This is the third such plea filed before the Bombay High Court. A bench led by Chief Justice Dipankar Datta is already hearing two pleas, one filed by Pune-based filmmaker Nilesh Navlakha and two others, and another by eight former police officials from the state. The court has now tagged all the three pleas together for a joint hearing on October 8.

Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer: Not in a hurry to file bail application

Actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik are not in a hurry to file a bail application in high court, revealed their lawyer Satish Maneshinde. Last week, a Mumbai Special Court rejected the bail applications of Rhea, Showik and four others accused in the drugs case filed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Following this, several reports suggested that the brother-sister duo was planning to apply in High Court today. Their lawyer has now set the record straight by issuing a statement. "Even if we get a copy of the order today, we are not in a hurry and moving immediately... we will study the order, its implications and developments in the case at the NCB level and then decide. There's no room for speculation... once it is filed we will share a copy of the bail application," said Maneshinde.

The song is dedicated to fans of the late actor who have been fighting for justice for Sushant. "14 sept 2020 marks 90 days since Sushant Singh Rajput left all of us. Since 90 days the josh of all his fans and supporters have kept everything alive. On the 90th day, we dedicate the song 'Josh-e-jahaan' to all fans of Sushant Singh Rajput requesting them to be united for the justice of Sushant till we get it," Nilotpal Mrinal, the song's producer shared.

Monday marked three months of the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Vishal Kirti, brother-in-law of the late actor feels it is time to slowly start healing while continuing to fight for justice for Sushant. 3 Accused in Drug Probe Placed in NCB Custody Till Sep 16

Three suspected drug peddlers, arrested in the probe related to drug angle in the actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case, were on Monday remanded to NCB custody till September 16 by a court in Mumbai. On Sunday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested six more persons, taking the count of people held so far in the case to 16. These half a dozen accused were identified by the agency as Karamjeet Singh Anand, Dwayne Fernandes, SanketPatel, Ankush Anreja, Sandeep Gupta and Aftab Fateh Ansari. They were on Monday produced before a magistrate court which remanded three of them - Anand, Anreja and Patel - to NCB custody till September 16 and sent the rest to jail under 14-day judicial remand.

Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14. Initially, Mumbai Police had said it was a case of suicide. Prime accused and Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother Showik, are currently under arrest as part of investigation in the case. The death is being investigated by the CBI, Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate.
