MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), probing the drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, is likely to summon actors Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, and designer Simone Khambatta for questioning this week after their names surfaced in actor Rhea Chakraborty’s interrogations.
“There has been an issue over whether the names of Sara, Simone and Rakul surfaced during the investigations. The answer to that is ‘Yes’. And on whether the NCB has prepared a list of 25 Bollywood personalities, the answer is ‘No’,’’ said NCB deputy director K P S Malhotra.
Rhea, during her custodial interrogation, had said Khan, Singh and Khambatta reportedly took drugs with Rajput. An NDPS lawyer, however, said that only on the basis of her statement, the NCB cannot initiate action unless they have corroborative evidence that will stand the scrutiny of law.
The NCB on Monday arrested Suryadeep Malhotra (23), a close friend of Rajput.
