NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 01:14PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Crompton (up 4.84 per cent), Cholamandalam Financial (up 4.46 per cent), Godrej Agrovet (up 3.67 per cent), Crisil (up 3.56 per cent) and Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals (up 3.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Future Retail (down 2.52 per cent), Bharat Electronics (down 2.47 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 2.39 per cent), PNB Housing Finance (down 2.35 per cent) and National Aluminium Company (down 2.28 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.64 per cent up at 14983.56 around 01:14PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 41.40 points at 11481.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 130.78 points at 38887.41.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of J B Chem, Amber Enterprises India Ltd., APL Apollo Tube, Radico Khaitan and Adani Green Energy Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Mukat Pipes Ltd., Leading Leasing Finance and Investment Company Ltd., Vas Infrastructure Ltd., Shivansh Finserve Ltd., Modulex Construction Technologies Ltd. and Rainbow Denim Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
