Everyone is with us: DMK launches drive to enrol 25 lakh new members

CHENNAI: The DMK on Tuesday launched an online membership drive -- called ‘Ellorum Nammudan’ (everyone is with us) -- to enrol 25 lakh new members to the party in 45 days.
DMK president M K Stalin launched the online initiative – www.dmk.in/joindmk - at the party headquarters Anna Arivalayam in the presence of party senior leaders and MLAs.
Around one lakh people, comprising both leaders and cadre, would participate in this enrolment exercise, the DMK said in a statement.
Anyone who has attained 18 years of age can become a member of the party using the above link. No membership fee will be charged. The local party units will verify the details uploaded by individuals to enable them to become formal members of the party. They would become eligible to vote in intra-party elections at the end of one year, the statement said.
