All-New 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Launched In Germany From €93,438

Mercedes-Benz is now accepting orders for the new generation S-Class in Germany, where the luxury sedan is available in five different versions.

Priced from €93,438 ($110,821), including tax, for the standard wheelbase model and €96,094.40 ($113,972) for the long wheelbase version, the entry-level S350d packs a 2.9-liter diesel. The engine develops 286 PS (282 HP / 210 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint of 6.4 seconds.

The S350d 4Matic all-wheel drive models start at €97,150 ($115,224) and €99,806.40 ($118,375) respectively, whereas the S400d 4Matic can be had from €103,994 ($123,341) and €106,998.40 ($126,905) respectively. The latter has 330 PS (325 HP / 243 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque available on tap, and does the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.4 seconds.

The S450 4Matic is limited to the long wheelbase edition, with an starting price of €106,650.40 ($126,492) and a 3.0-liter petrol engine, rated at 367 PS (362 HP / 270 kW) and 500 Nm (406 lb-ft), taking 5.1 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph).

Finally, the S500 4Matic can be had from €115,130 ($136,549) and €117,786.40 ($139,700) respectively, with a 435 PS (429 HP / 320 kW) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) 3.0-liter unit, dropping the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) to 4.9 seconds. All versions have an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) and feature the 9-speed automatic transmission.

Of course, you can spend a lot more money once you start ticking options, such as the €1,148.401 ($1,362) 3D driver display, €3,468.401 ($4,114) head-up display with augmented reality, €626.401 ($743) MBUX interior assist, €916.401 ($1,087) ambient lighting, €2,192.403 ($2,600) digital light, €1,508 ($1,789) rear-axle steering and €580 ($688) rear airbag.

European deliveries of the 2021 S-Class will begin in December and the first units of the car should arrive in the United States in the first quarter of 2021.
