The Home Ministry releases a statement in the Lok Sabha and confirms that investigation is on over the Bollywood drug nexus and 10 alleged peddlers have been arrested so far. The statement came even as Bollywood A-listers dismissed reports of nexus between drug mafia and the film industry. Even Samajwadi Party MP and veteran actor Jaya Bachchan in the Parliament slammed others for drug addiction comments. Jaya Bachchan said, "Just because of a few people, you cannot tarnish the whole industry... I was really embarrassed and ashamed that yesterday one of our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the industry, spoke against the film industry. They bite the hands that feed them".
