Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, who was convicted in the contempt case of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice, has today deposited his fine. At the same time, Prashant Bhushan also said that he does not accept the court's decision and is going to file a review petition against it.

Prashant Bhushan placed this matter before the media persons after depositing the fine amount outside the Supreme Court. Prashant Bhushan filed a petition on Saturday, which had the authority to appeal against the original criminal contempt cases. In this petition, he has demanded that a separate and larger bench of the Supreme Court be heard on his petition.

This petition of Prashant Bhushan was filed through Kamini Jaiswal and in it, Prashant Bhushan suggested procedural changes to reduce the possibility of arbitrary, vindictive, and high-level judgments in criminal contempt cases.

In fact, Prashant Bhushan was convicted by a Supreme Court bench in his decision. Prashant Bhushan made two tweets criticizing the Supreme Court and Chief Justice SA Bobde. The Supreme Court, while delivering its verdict, imposed a fine of one rupee as punishment on 31 August.

For this, the court gave time till September 15 to Prashant Bhushan and said that if he does not deposit the fine till September 15, then he can be sentenced to three months in jail or deviation of legal practice for three years. Will have to go through.
