New Delhi: Nickel prices rose 2.40 per cent to Rs 1,114.10 per kg in futures trade on Monday as speculators built fresh positions on rising demand from alloymakers in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for September delivery gained Rs 2.40, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 1,114.10 per kg in a business turnover of 1,812 lots.
The rise in demand from alloymakers in spot market mainly supported the price rise in nickel futures, analysts said.
