New Delhi: Gold prices rose Rs 151 to Rs 51,470 per 10 gram in futures trade on Monday as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 151, or 0.29 per cent, at Rs 51,470 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 11,745 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.
In the international market, gold traded 0.35 per cent higher at USD 1,954.80 per ounce in New York.
