A reception class pupil in a Caernarfon primary school has tested positive for coronavirus.

Ysgol yr Hendre will now be closing its two reception classes for two weeks, with pupils told to self-isolate for the duration of this period.

The pupil tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend, according to the school's headteacher Kyle Jones.

All reception classes at the school will now be suspended until at least September 28.

As things stand, only reception class pupils are being asked to self-isolate for the 14-day period.

It's understood the move affects around 50 pupils.
