Over 15 lakh students to take NEET today

NEW DELHI: Over 15 lakh candidates are likely to take the NEET for admission to undergraduate medical courses on Sunday, to be held at 3,862 centres across the country amid strict precautions in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Till 5pm on Saturday, more than 15 lakh of the 15.97 lakh registered candidates had downloaded their admit cards.
Besides increasing the number of centres from last year’s 2,546, the SOPs put in place by the National Testing Agency include measures like reducing the number of candidates per room from earlier 24 to 12 and staggered entry and exit of students.
