Mizoram reports 14 more Covid-19 cases

As many as 14 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Mizoram on Monday taking the total number of coronavirus cases in the state to 1,428, informed the state government. Out of the total number of coronavirus cases, 598 cases are active and 830 people have been discharged after treatment. No death has been reported in the state till date.

Single-day Covid-19 cases hit record high: WHO

In a statement on Sunday, the WHO said that there were 307,930 new cases globally in the last 24 hours, the highest single-day figure ever registered and about 1,000 more than the previous recording-setting daily caseload a week earlier, reports Xinhua news agency.

Mainland China reports 10 new Covid-19 cases, same as day earlier

China on Monday reported 10 new coronavirus cases in the mainland for Sept. 13, the same as a day earlier, the health authority said. All of the new infections were imported, the National Health Commission said in a statement. There were no new deaths. China reported 39 new asymptomatic patients, compared with 70 a day earlier.

South Korea eases restrictions as virus cases drop

South Korea has reported its lowest daily virus tally in about a month as it began easing its tough social distancing rules in the greater Seoul area. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said on Monday that the 109 new cases added in the past 24 hours took the country's total to 22,285 with 363 deaths. It's the 12th consecutive day for South Korea's daily jump to stay in the 100s. The 109 additional cases are also the lowest daily tally since mid-August.

Jharkhand reports 1,014 new Covid-19 cases, 13 fresh fatalities

Jharkhand's Covid-19 caseload rose to 61,474 on Monday as 1,014 more people tested positive for the infection, while 13 fresh fatalities pushed the state's coronavirus death toll to 555, a health bulletin said. The fresh infections have taken the number of active cases to 14,336, while 46,583 people have been cured of the disease so far, it said.

Germany's confirmed coronavirus cases rise by 927 to 260,355

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany increased by 927 to 260,355, data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases showed on Monday.The reported death toll rose by one to 9,350, the tally showed.
