Politics has intensified with the removal of slums on the railway tracks. Leaders of all parties are accusing each other. The Opposition is constantly demanding an alternative arrangement for the slum dwellers from the state government. Apart from this, the government is set to surround the monsoon session of the assembly.

On the other hand, you say that you will not let anyone's house be destroyed. Congress is talking about the struggle from the court to the road. Railway administration is also entangled in this politics. Railways say that following the order of the Supreme Court, slums situated along the track will be removed.

It has become a problem for the Delhi government to provide shelter to 48 thousand people living on the side of the railway track. The opposition has been repeatedly pressuring the Delhi government to make alternative arrangements for the slum dwellers. The BJP has warned that if the slums are demolished, the BJP will settle the affected in the vacant houses built by the Delhi government.

It also alleged that if the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was implemented in Delhi, this problem would not have come today. The Congress is promising to provide houses to slums under the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Scheme. At present, the top railway officials are keeping silent on this issue.

The railway police force is also not in action to remove the slums. In fact, whenever the railway starts taking action at its level, politics starts. Demonstrations begin. In such a situation, the railway is currently waiting for the decision of the Delhi government. Similarly, the Railway Police Force (RPF) is also awaiting orders.

The Forest department takes action on slums situated along the Yamuna

On Saturday, the forest department cracked down slums that had been inhabited for many years in Yamuna Khadar near Yamuna Bank Metro Station. Apart from the Delhi Police, the paramilitary force was also deployed during the operation. During this time the land was evacuated by removing 80 slums on 35.73 hectares. At the same time, the slum dwellers also accused the department of grabbing the land, calling the action wrong.

According to department officials, in 2018 Power Grid Corporation of India Limited had assigned this land to the forest department to develop the area. At the same time, this land was given to the Power Grid Corporation by the DDA. It is being told that some people were earning 11 thousand rupees per bigha by renting this land.
