258 positive Covid cases, 10 deaths reported in Patiala

PATIALA: In Patiala, 10 more deaths were reported taking the death toll to 242 so far whereas 258 more cases including four healthcare workers were reported positive on Sunday taking the tally to 8,668 in the district of which 1,767 were active cases whereas 6,659 patients have recovered.
Among the deaths reported on Sunday included six from Patiala city, two from Rajpura block and one each from Nabha and Patran block. Similarly, among 258 positive cases on Sunday, 173 were from Patiala city, eight from Samana, 20 from Rajpura, 10 from Nabha, five from Bhadson block, nine from Kauli block, four from Kalomajra block, 10 from Harpalpur block, seven from Dudhansadan block, and 12 from Shutrana block.
The officials claimed that So far 11,6833 samples have been taken of which 1,500 reports were awaited while 8,668 tested positive. They appealed the masses to come forward for sampling and avoid unnecessary travelling or movement.
