National Testing Agency (NTA) has implemented a comprehensive plan to hold NEET UG examination in a hassle-free manner. Over 15 lakh candidates have registered for the NEET examination, which is being conducted today. Catch live action here

Candidates arrive at an examination centre in Bengaluru to write National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). A candidate says to ANI, "We have studied so much, it is right that we are getting this opportunity to write the examination."
Candidates will also be required to carry their personal hand sanitizer, water in a transparent bottle, mask and glove.
Light clothes with long sleeves are not permitted.
List of Barred Items
• The candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the examination centre under any circumstances.
• Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen/scanner etc.
• Any communication device like mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band etc.
• Other items like wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap etc.
• Any watch/wristwatch, bracelet, camera, etc.
• Any ornaments/metallic item.
• Any food items opened or packed.
• Any other item which could be used for unfair means, by hiding communication devices like microchip, camera, Bluetooth device etc.

Frisking Rules
• Body pat frisking will not be done
• Frisking by metal detector held with long handle will be mandatory for all candidates
• Frisking personnel will ensure that while frisking metal detector does not come in physical contact with any candidate
• Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signal presence will be checked inside the examination rooms and examination centres
• During the conduct of examination, all the installed jammers/ CCTVs (if applicable) will be functional as per NTA guidelines

East Coast Railway starts 4 special trains for NEET exams
The East Coast Railway started four special trains on Saturday and Sunday for the candidates appearing in NEET UG 2020. These trains are being run in four routes-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar, Keonjhargarh-Bhubaneswar, Rayagada-Sambalpur, and Khariar Road-Sambalpur. Students will board these trains to reach their destination for the exams and will return their homes by the same train after their examination is over.

NEET fear: 3 medical college aspirants commit suicide in TN
CHENNAI: A day ahead of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), three medical college aspirants in Tamil Nadu committed suicide on Saturday fearing failure. Madurai-based Jyothi Sridurga, daughter of policeman Murugasundaram, hanged herself at her residence. The day's second suicide happened in Dharmapuri where a boy named Aditya snuffed out his own life. In Namakkal district, another boy named Motilal hanged himself to death. (IANS)

Chennai: Candidates begin arriving at examination centres to write NEET exam (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test). A candidate told ANI, “NEET is just an exam. There's nothing to fear about. If not cleared this time, we can reappear next year".

Considering the Covid-19 situation in country, the NTA has increased the number of centres from 2,546 to 3,843, that will help maintain social distancing required containing the spread of Coronavirus.
