Amidst controversies, Kangana Ranaut decided to meet Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at 4.30 pm today. The actor is currently facing a tiff with the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government, after the latter demolished her house and office in Bandra.
While she is meeting the Governor currently, protests have begun to not let the actor stay in Mumbai. The protests took place after Kangana Ranaut had said that Mumbai feels like Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh reportedly said that the actress has "no right to stay" in Mumbai. The comment had not gone down well with Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut either, who had called her 'haraamkhor'.
After his comment, Sanjay Raut was called out for calling a woman 'haraamkhor', not only by Kangana but also other celebrities. His latest editorial in 'Saamana' also took a dig on the same. "Like Draupadi’s ‘cheerharan’ (disrobing) by the ‘Kauravas’ while the ‘Pandavas’ kept their heads down, even now we are witnessing a similar scenario," read an excerpt from the piece.
Kangana had even addressed CM Uddhav Thackeray as 'Tu' in a video where she sarcastically condemned the demolition of her house. A few people who thought the addressing was 'disrespectful', filed a complaint against the actor.
Kangana, who had returned to Mumbai from Himachal Pradesh (hometown Manali) on September 9, 2020, is all set to go back there on September 14, 2020. Before doing so, she wanted to inform the governor about her ongoing tension with the state government. Kangana, thus, was spotted with her sister Rangoli Chandel.
