Representative imagePATIALA: The police in Patiala have initiated the process for lie detector test of some persons to further investigate into the matter of missing saroop of Shri Guru Granth Sahib in Kalyan village of Patiala.
Sources revealed that the police have decided to go for lie detector test of three persons who are suspected to be involved in the crime or have some clues about it.
The police have got permission from the court for this test. The missing or disappearance of the saroop from Gurudwara Ardaspur Sahib in Kalyan village was learned in July this year by one of the self-acclaimed saint who is being questioned by the police.
Looking into the seriousness of the matter the police did not share the names of the suspects being interrogated or to be taken for a lie detector test over the missing Saroop of Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedar Amrik Singh Ajnala reached the Gurudwara premises and held a peaceful protest to demand the arrest of the accused involved in the crime and trace out the Saroop as soon possible.
SSP Patiala, Vikramjit Singh Duggal said, “We have initiated the process of lie detector test and soon some of the suspects will have to undergo lie-detection. We would not disclose anyone’s name at this moment.”
