EU lawmakers to block trade deal with UK: Official

LONDON: The European Parliament will not grant its approval to any new EU-UK trade deal unless Britain implements its earlier divorce deal, an official familiar with a looming statement by EU lawmakers said.
The chamber must approve any trade deal with UK for it to be enacted. The statement may be published late on Friday.
