Beauty
While some celebrities played it safe, others balanced it out by stepping right into today's beauty trends
Whether you've begun going to work, or you're still attending meetings and party on video calls, you'll want to dip back into your beauty kit to try something new. You might want to play up your eye makeup, or keep it clean and simple—there's something for everyone if you're looking to Instagram for inspiration.
With masks becoming a must-have every time you step out, upgrading your eye makeup is a great way to play up your face without making a mess. Jennifer Lopez, whose speciality is a nude smoky eye and a glossy lip, went with a creamier version of the same, adding mascara to her top and bottom lashes to add definition. As always, her feathered brows were softly filled in with a pencil and brow gel—an easy two-step routine if you're looking for a quick get-out-the-door look. A contour and highlight combination amped it up further. Bhumi Pednekar, who loves experimenting with fun eye makeup looks, tried a graphic eyeliner look that is perfect if you're bored of a regular cat eye (or lack a steady hand), paint flicks on the waterline, upper lash line, and eyelid. If you're like us and refuse to spend too long on the details, consider abstract eyeliner your new go-to party look. Megan Thee Stallion served up larger-than-life eyelashes by way of falsies, and Euphoria actor Barbie Ferreira smeared green eyeshadow across her lids for a fun pop of colour.
When the temps rise and the humidity increases, makeup can feel too heavy on the skin, and hairstyles are more likely to get frizzy or fall flat. If you're wearing foundation and other base products, you can expect it to melt all over. So, make like your favourite celebrities, and try super-lightweight, creamy and sheer products to make it easier. Use only what you need, like concealer blush and mascara, just like Katrina Kaif, Karisma Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor, who eschewed a full face beat for soft coverage. Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner wore comfortable buns secured with a claw clip—a ’90s hair trend that is perfect for a warm day.
