Telangana today reported 2,278 fresh COVID -19 cases during the past 24 hours taking the number of cases reported so far in the State to one lakh 54,880. The State has conducted over 62 thousand tests yesterday.

The number of total tests done in the State has gone beyond 20 lakhs so far. Telangana has been doing COVID tests at an average of 55-60 thousand a day for the past few weeks. The average fresh COVID case being reported is at over 2,000. Similarly, the recoveries also reported at above 2,000 daily. As a result the recovery rate in the State has surpassed the national average of 77.8 per cent and stood at 78.7 per cent.

Over 2,400 more people recovered during the past 24 hours taking the number of recovered people so far in the State to 1,21,925. Meanwhile, the daily bulletin issued by the State Medical and Health Department this morning, stated that 331 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hyderabad during the past 24 hours while districts like Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Kamareddy, Khammam and Nalgonda also reported about 100 new COVID cases each.
