Koushal (L) and Arun among the 8 had scored 100 in January tooHYDERABAD: Eight students from Telangana and three from Andhra Pradesh secured 100 percentile marks in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) JEE September-2020 examination, results of which were released late on Friday.
Of the eight students, two — C Koushal Kumar Reddy and Arun Siddardha — secured 100 percentile even in the JEE (Main) January exam.
From across the country, 24 students have secured the perfect score in the exam conducted by the National Testing Agency. While two each from Telangana and AP secured cent percent marks in JEE (Main) January exam, last year, five students had secured 100 percentile marks.
5 from T, AP figured in top 10 list of 2018
In 2018, five students from Telangana and AP figured in the top 10 list, in 2017 and 2016, the count was two and three respectively. C Tanuja, D Yeshash Chandra, M Likith Reddy, R Shashank Anirudh, Shiva Krishna Sagi, and V Arvind Narasimha are the six other students from Telangana, who managed to find a place in the list of 100 NTA scorers.
When it comes to AP, L Jitendra and T Vishnu Sai Sankar secured 100 score even in January. This time, Y S Narasimha Naidu also found a place along with the other two.
The top 2.45 lakh candidates will be eligible to appear for the JEE-Advanced exam, to secure admission into the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). JEE-Advanced is scheduled to be held on September 27.
