Rules amended for former CM Vasundhara Raje\'s house: Rajasthan confirms to HC
New Delhi: The Ashok Gehlot government has told the Rajasthan High Court that it amended rules to allow former BJP Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to continue in a government bungalow.
The states reply was in response to a contempt petition seeking eviction of Raje for violating a HC order. A state government notification on August 1 had allowed Raje to continue in her government residence in Jaipur. The notification issued by the chief secretary reads “while making allotment the House Committee may, after due consideration, make out of turn allotment of appropriate house to the member who has been Chief Minister of Rajasthan; Union Cabinet minister; minister of state, Government of India…”
