PM Modi to unveil projects worth Rs 16,000 crore for poll-bound Bihar

NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi will announce several development projects worth over Rs 16,000 crore in the next 10 days for poll-bound Bihar to improve infrastructure and ease of living for the people of the state in line with NDA’s promise of ‘good governance’, reports Akhilesh Singh.
Sources said the projects pertain to sectors like LPG pipeline, LPG bottling plant, sewage treatment plan under Namami Gange, water supply schemes, river front development project, new railway lines, railway bridge, electrification of various sections and construction of highways and bridges.
“He will also interact with people of Bihar in multiple events in the coming 10 days. The cost of these projects exceed Rs 16,000 crore, thus leveraging public expenditure to act as a major driver of growth in times of Covid,” said an official.
