In the Kerala gold smuggling case, members of the BJP Youth Front and Youth League of All India Muslim League staged a sit-in in Mallapuram. The protesters protested against Minister of State KT Jaleel for allegedly being named in the gold smuggling case.

Apart from this, BJP Yuva Morcha also performed in Thiruvananthapuram. The protesters demanded the resignation of the Minister of State KT Jalil. The police used water cannons and tear gas shells to remove the protesters.
