The 13th season of Indian Premier League (IPL)-2020 will begin from September 19 amid coronavirus pandemic this year. The matches will be scheduled in three venues of UAE-Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi with no crowd. While speaking to ANI in Delhi on September 11, former cricketer Gautam Gambhir said, “IPL is such a tournament where any team can defeat the other squad. Moreover, Indian players have not played cricket since past 6 months amid coronavirus pandemic so we will have to see that how much rusty they are. Once the tournament will commence we will get to see all that very soon.” “It is important to stay in the bio bubble and follow all the guidelines given to players. You can’t sacrifice an entire tournament for a single individual so it is relevant to follow the guidelines,” he added. Speaking to ANI on cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s comeback, Gambhir added, “It is Yuvraj’s personal decision and entire nation wish to see him playing again and you can’t force a player to begin or end his game. He is most welcome.”
