CDAP initiative ongoing

THE EDITOR: The public is assured that the Chronic Disease Assistance Programme (CDAP) continues and the services offered via this initiative are provided to the public on an ongoing basis.

The Ministry of Health notes the letter to the editor in yesterday’s Newsday, entitled “Don’t stop the CDAP programme.” The ministry advises that Terrence Deyalsingh, Minister of Health, did not announce that the CDAP initiative would be stopped.

Members of the public are assured that they can continue to receive their medication to address chronic non-communicable diseases (eg diabetes and hypertension) via this programme.
