Foundation stone of ADR Center laid digitally by high court judge at Yamunanagar court

YAMUNANAGAR: Punjab and Haryana high court judge and Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HSLSA) executive chairman Justice Rajeev Sharma laid the foundation stone of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Center to be built at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore in the judicial complex Yamunanagar by video conference from Chandigarh on Friday.
On this occasion, Justice Rajeev Sharma, said that the ADR centers at the judicial complexes are need of the time. He said in some districts of Haryana, ADR centers have been set up by the HSLSA which is directly benefiting the public and people are getting justice in these centers quickly. He said HSLSA has done commendable work in providing quick and cheap justice to the people through Lok Adalats. He said that the cases should be settled before going to the courts. "Such efforts should always be made on a large scale so that litigation can be avoided and efforts should be made to provide quick justice to the people", said justice Rajeev.
The officials told that the ADR center to be built in Yamunanagar will be two-storeyed building, on the ground floor there will be members' chamber, permanent Lok Adalat, chairman's chamber, computer room, ADR center and permanent Lok Adalat staff room. On the first floor, there will be the room, library, store, multipurpose conference hall, settlement hall and toilets of the chairman of the DLSA. Similarly, on the second floor, there will be a multipurpose conference hall, store, chambers and rooms of mediators, meeting rooms and toilets and ADR center will have lift facilities.
