Adtalem Agrees to Buy Walden University for $1.48 Billion

(Bloomberg) -- Adtalem Global Education Inc. agreed to acquire Walden University from Laureate Education Inc. for $1.48 billion in cash, as the company seeks to expand its health-care offerings.
