MUMBAI: Villagers of Dahanu town in Palghar district were woken up by repeated low-intensity tremors on Friday morning. No loss has been reported.
The first earthquake of 3.5 magnitude was felt at 3.29am. The second tremor of magnitude 3.5 was experienced at 3.57am. The third jolt of magnitude 3.6 was recorded at 7.06am. The epicentre of the earthquake was Dhundalwadi village in Dahanu.

While the district has been witnessing tremors since November 2018, the last few days have been seeing a series of low-intensity earthquakes. Some homes had developed cracks in the tremors experienced last Friday and Saturday.
District officials have visited the villages and awareness programmes are being conducted to ward off fears. Villagers have been sleeping in the open. Most homes in these villages are thatched.
