490 housing projects registered with TNRERA till Sept 9 this year

CHENNAI: As many as 490 housing projects were registered with Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) till September 9 this year.
Of these, around 165 new projects were registered with the state's realty regulator in the past 55 days since June 15.
TNRERA portal revealed that a chunk of these projects were in Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts.
The Tamil Nadu Real Estate (regulation and development) Rules, 2017 mandates that all on going housing projects, with a minimum of eight units for sale, must be registered with state's realty regulator.
Housing layouts also come under the purview of the Act.
