Bengaluru: Robber held with 29 phones, ganja

BENGALURU: Chandra Layout police arrested a drug peddler-cum-robber on Tuesday and seized 310 grams of ganja and 29 mobile phones worth Rs 4 lakh from him.
The accused is Moin Pasha alias Moinuddin Pasha, a resident of Gangondanahalli. Nayaz Ahmed, a mobile shop owner from Chamarajpet, too was arrested for purchasing stolen cellphones from Pasha.
According to police, Moin had started consuming ganja during his teenage days. Later, he started committing robberies and stole vehicles to get money for his addiction, after which he began selling ganja. Further probe is under way.
In another case, RMC Yard police arrested four youths for alleged drug peddling and seized 2.1kg of ganja from them.
The accused are Naveen, Ajay Kumar, Rahul, and Naveen K alias Chotte.
