Smriti Irani: Working on strict anti-trafficking law

NEW DELHI: Minister for women and child development Smriti Irani said on Wednesday that the government was committed to bring a stringent anti-trafficking legislation. While parliament session begins on Monday, Irani, in her speech about the various steps taken to secure the rights of women and children, made no commitment about how soon the bill would make it to Parliament.
Once finalised the bill will first need to be approved by the Union Cabinet before it is introduced in Parliament.
