LUCKNOW: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University has slapped a fine of Rs 5 lakh on its private engineering college in Noida after an incident of mass copying was detected by the university officials on Wednesday. Around 200 students of the MBA course were found writing the examination using mobile phones at the Noida college.
A video of mass copying was sent to the university’s examination department by a person after which the officials carried out an investigation to find out which college it was out of the total 156 examination centres where the varsity is holding the exams.
“An investigation will be carried out and invigilators at the exam centre will be questioned. We can’t reveal the source from whom we got the video but within few hours we tracked the college and cancelled all the three examinations held at the centre,” said AKTU spokesperson Asheesh Mishra. No examination will be held at the centre again and all examinations scheduled there have been shifted to a nearby college .
