Monsoon session of Gujarat Legislative Assembly will begin on the 21st of this month. A decision to effect was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.

Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pradeepsinh Jadeja said that about 24 bills and amendments will be tabled during the five-day session.

He said that the government has urged the speaker not to include question hour.

Instead, the speaker can allow short notice questions after discussing them with the concerned ministers.

He said that a resolution hailing the contribution of “corona warriors” will also be brought during the session.

Mr. Jadeja said that Covid19 tests will be conducted on everyone and entry will be given only if the test comes negative.
