Pune district, the coronavirus capital of the country now accounts for 2,03,498 total cases.
In what is more worrying for the administration is that the city has the maximum number of active cases in the country. Last month, Pune's first sero survey witnessed that over 50 per cent of people from five high-occurrence areas in the city have been exposed to the novel infection.
With city’s green zones now turning new hotspots for the contagion, the administration along with the police are continuously appealing people to follow all norms of the social distancing as well as wear face masks while travelling. Many parts of the city such as Sahakar Nagar-Dhankawadi, Sinhagad Road, Hadapsar are new hotspots.
