The Panaji city, on Thursday, reported thirty two COVID cases, revealed the city Mayor Uday Madkaikar, and added that all the patients – symptomatic as well as asymptomatic have sought home isolation.
Speaking to this daily, Madkaikar said that “people should not go out needlessly as the situation is becoming dangerous, and coronavirus is spreading its tentacles to newer and newer
areas every day.”
Speaking further, he said, “Two minors – an 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl staying near Sati temple in Bhatulem have tested positive for COVID. A 38-year-old woman and 10-year-old girl residing near Kamat Kinara, Miramar have tested positive for coronavirus and have sought
home isolation.”
“A 34-year-old woman, a 14-year-old girl and an 18-year-old girl staying near Caranzalem petrol pump and a 24-year-old person from Military Hospital and a 69-year-old person residing near SBI Colony have also tested positive for COVID,”
he added.
“A 49-year-old person staying near Khorna waddo-Ribandar and working at WRD while a teacher working in a private high school in Mala and staying behind old Income Tax office and a 50-year-old woman working for a media house and staying at Tonca, Miramar have also tested positive for corona virus,” he said.
“Four persons, aged between 11 and 38 years, and staying near an educational institute in Miramar have tested positive, while 60-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman staying near LIC Quarters besides few others tested positive for COVID-19 and have sought home isolation,” he added.
