Bloemfontein Celtic will be aiming to spoil newly-crowned Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns' attempts at clinching a treble of trophies when the two sides face off in the Nedbank Cup final, on Saturday.

Siwelele, who head into Saturday's final at Orlando Stadium as heavy underdogs will be aiming to lift their first trophy since their 2012 Telkom Knockout triumph.

Head coach John Maduka told media in the build-up to the final that his side are looking forward to the occasion and are looking forward to competing against their much-fancied opponents.

"We'll give our best to ensure that we're competitive," Maduka said. "It's our first appearance in the finals of the Nedbank Cup and our preparations have been going well.

"We've been in the bio-bubble (Bio-Safe Environment) for more than a month now, but everything is going well.

"We know that it won't be an easy game, it's going to in fact be a very difficult test but we strongly believe with the team and squad that we have and with our preparations we've got a chance to do well.

Sundowns head into the final as clear favourites and boasting an experienced squad who have become used to winning and creating a recent era of dominance.

Maduka concedes that although his side are inexperienced, they will use this as a motivation to create their own bit of history.

"It will be some of my players' first time playing in a final and already this is a motivation on its own. To be appearing in a final one should be excited and eager to do well. I want them to be excited but make sure that they're not too excited.

So we've just been making sure to remind them that it's just like any other game even though it's a cup final. We're trying not to put too much pressure on them and to make sure that they don't have any fear.
