Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar said today that the biggest research and innovation in the world has an Indian mind, but we have been innovating for others till now, now the time has come for us to innovate Gain altitude.


Addressing the '15th Sustainability Meeting' of the Confederation of India Industry (CII) through video conferencing, Mr. Javadekar said, "Self-reliant India is not about autism. It is about innovation and research. Any major innovation from NASA to the world has an Indian mind.

We have been instrumental in innovation so far, but we do not own it, it is not patented in our name. Now we will innovate for ourselves which will take us to new heights. ''

Holding developed countries directly responsible for pollution and carbon emissions, he said that unless the big countries work towards reducing emissions, efforts of other countries cannot succeed. He said, "India is not responsible for emissions.

Developed countries are responsible for this. Despite this, India has always been a part of the solution and hence it has set ambitious targets to reduce emissions on its own and is moving fast in this direction.

The Union Minister said that all countries should tell what their plans are for achieving sustainability. If the big countries do not actively try, then the efforts of India and some other countries will be in vain.
