Surprised, the the complainant in the case has now moved the court seeking action against the cop by the police department.
Complainant Munish Jalota, a resident of Dhobi Gate, said in 2017, he had lend Rs 5 lakh to Sub inspector Inder Mohan Sharma, after he sought the loan for some emergency. According to the complainant, even after several months, the cop did not return the amount and handed him a cheque.
However, on being presented before the bank, the cheques bounced for lack of funds. Munish then moved the court where the cop promised to pay the amount in five equal installments. However, as the cop again failed to keep the promise, the court declared Inder Mohan Sharma a proclaimed offender in November 2019.
