Chandigarh: One booked for uploading child porn on social site

CHANDIGARH: The UT police have registered a case against an unknown person for uploading child pornography content on the social media. On the complaint of the officials of the National Crime Recod Bureau (NCRB), Sector 17, the police have registered a case and forwarded the same to the cyber cell for further investigation.
The police said they received a complaint from the NCRB that some unknown person had uploaded a child porn video on his Instagram site. During investigation, the NCRB found that the IP address was from Chandigarh. On this, officials submitted a complaint to the UT police.
Sector 17 police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IT Act. The police are investigating the matter and no arrest has been made in the case so far.
