Hyderabad: Telugu TV actress K Sravani hangs self

HYDERABAD: Telugu TV actress K Sravani on Tuesday night committed suicide by hanging herself. The family found the actress hanging inside her room in Madhura Nagar area of Hyderabad.
She had gained fame for her role in the serial Manasu Mamata. According to SR Nagar police, the family alleged that she had a close friendship with a man, Dev Raju for the past eight months.
"But they stopped talking few weeks back. The family said, she had again started meeting him and was depressed," said SR Nagar Inspector, Narsimha Reddy.
After talking to her mother, Sravani went to her room and locked the door from inside. After a couple of hours, when she did not come out, her mother got suspicious and checked through the window only to find her hanging.
"No suicide note was found. But the family of the actress suspect some tiff between Sravani and Dev Raju and lodged a complaint," added the inspector.
The body was later shifted to Osmania hospital for postmortem and a case was registered under section 306 (Abetment of suicide) of IPC.
