This house built on Nazul land worth crores of rupees was sealed about four months ago. Atik's younger brother, former MLA Ashraf, was caught by the police when he revealed several properties. Police are tracing Atiq's Benami properties from Ahmedabad to Delhi so that he too can be attached under the Gangster Act. The police, administration, and Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) had completed its capacities.


Several years ago, a house was illegally occupied and built on Nawab Yusuf Road in Civil Lines. About four months ago, the PDA issued a notice to the party concerned after sealing this property. Officials say a plan was made to demolish Atik's house. The break-in action from JCB began on Monday afternoon. The market value of this property has been estimated at crores of rupees.
