Haryana: Wanted criminal lands in police net in Kaithal

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Police have arrested a wanted criminal from Kaithal district and seized a country-made pistol and a live cartridge from his possession.
A Haryana Police spokesperson said that the arrested man was identified as Ankit alias Bandar, a resident of Mataur. He was involved in three criminal cases, including murder. He had also been declared a proclaimed offender by the court in July, last year.
A CIA team during evening patrolling near Mataur bus stand received a tip-off about Ankit's presence. The team swung into action and nabbed him. He was wanted by Kaithal police for his alleged involvement in a firing incident in August 2019 that left one person dead. In addition, he is also found to be involved in two other criminal cases reported in January and August 2019.
He would be produced before the court and further probe is underway.
