Cape Town City have decided not to extend goalkeeper Sage Stephens' contract, effectively releasing him from the club.
The 29-year-old has been with the club since 2017, when he penned a three-year deal, but will now look for a new home elsewhere.
"City bids farewell to goalkeeper Sage Stephens at the end of his contract. A core member of the club, Sage will be remembered. Best of luck in the next phase of your career!" the club stated via Twitter.
Stephens made only eight appearances for City across all competitions this past season, with Peter Leeuwenburgh the preferred option under coach Jan Olde Riekerink.
City now only have two goalkeepers on their books - Leeuwenburgh and reserve team graduate Marc Anderson.
